Project Introduction
City Collective worked closely with the Truro Walsh Zoning Task Force to create practical solutions for developing town-owned land into much-needed housing. The first phase tailored zoning overlay rules to maximize public-private-partnership opportunities and realign Truro’s unit supply with demand by household size. City Collective focused on making progress that’s both achievable and aligned with the community’s needs and the Cape’s unique socioeconomic context. During the first phase, City Collective analyzed and delivered a draft zoning amendment to the Truro Walsh Zoning Task Force in less than 2-1/2 months. In its second phase, City Collective is now exploring how other zoning changes can open up more multifamily housing and economic development opportunities across Truro.
