TOD Growth Corridor Study

Project Introduction

The TOD Growth Corridor Study focused on redeveloping underutilized properties into transit-oriented developments to benefit residents at any stage of housing tenancy and income level. Opportunity sites were tested to find the ideal massing and layout for a market-optimized development future that could unlock new opportunities for market-rate, affordable, supportive, and transitional homes. Alongside housing, the TOD Growth Corridor Study prioritized public realm improvements such as widened sidewalks, separated bike lanes, green infrastructure, and accessible transit connections. The study will enhance community well-being by aligning development potential with public upgrades.

Key Project Innovations

Providing public spaces that welcome all users for comingled populations that tend to self-exclude. Designing zoning to encourage unit diversity, including supportive housing models.
