Project Introduction
The City Plan is aimed at facilitating and guiding future growth and development of the City of Adelaide over the next 10 years. With an enviable reputation as a lifestyle capital city, Adelaide has the opportunity to stay ahead of current and emerging issues, boost population, provide access to housing and housing affordability, and be adaptive to climate change. The work City Collective have undertaken on the City Plan will inform and shape the policies that strengthen economy, city culture, and provide strong environmental leadership for its diverse community.
As part of our scope we researched and tested new housing typologies that respond to the needs of our future city and targeting priority development areas that respond to the character of our city, the sense of place and our unique parkland setting. City Plan specifically focuses on urban planning and change, and sets targeted objectives and scenarios for how the City of Adelaide’s vision could be achieved from urban design and land use planning perspectives.
